Getting Started
Visit songfork.com and click "Sign Up." You can register using your email, Google account, or Apple ID. After signing up, you'll be guided through setting up your profile.
After creating your account, you'll go through the onboarding flow where you can add your full name, username, birthday, location, bio, profile photo, cover image, and select your software, instruments, and music tags.
Yes — go to Settings > Edit Profile and update your username. Keep in mind that your profile URL will change accordingly.
The feed is your home page once logged in. It shows posts from artists you follow, trending content, and activity from communities you've joined.
Yes! Songfork is free to create an account, upload tracks, fork songs, join communities, and collaborate. We also offer Songfork+ for premium features.
Uploading & Tracks
Click the "+" button in the navigation bar, then select "Create Post." You can upload audio files, add a title, description, BPM, key, genre, and assign it to a community.
Songfork supports MP3, WAV, FLAC, AAC, OGG, and M4A files. For the best quality, we recommend WAV or FLAC.
Stems are the individual layers of a song — vocals, drums, bass, melody. When you upload with multiple stems, listeners can solo, mute, and mix each layer.
Yes — navigate to your track and click the edit button to update metadata. You can also delete from the track's settings menu.
When creating or editing a post, fill in the BPM, key, time signature, DAW, and genre fields to help others find your music.
Forking & Collaboration
Forking is like remixing — you take someone else's song and create your own version. Every fork links back to the original.
Navigate to any track and click the "Fork" button. This creates a new post linked to the original where you can upload your own stems.
Currently, all published tracks are open for forking. Every fork credits the original creator, and you retain ownership of your original.
When someone forks your track, the fork automatically displays a link to your original song and your profile.
Communities
Communities are groups organized around genres, instruments, vibes, or any shared interest. Members can post tracks and discover collaborators.
Browse communities from the sidebar or search for one. Click "Join" on any community page.
Click "Create Community" from the communities section. Provide a name, description, and cover image.
Yes — set visibility to private when creating. Private communities require an invite or approval to join.
Account & Settings
Go to Settings > Change Password. If you signed up with Google/Apple, use "Forgot Password" to set one.
Go to Settings > Notifications to control email notifications for follows, likes, comments, forks, and community activity.
Contact us at contact@songfork.com with "Account Deletion Request." We process within 30 days.
Go to Settings > Theme to switch between light, dark, and retro themes.
Visit the user's profile, click the three-dot menu, and select "Block."
Songfork+ & Billing
Songfork+ is our premium subscription with unlimited uploads, analytics, priority support, and exclusive features.
Go to the Songfork+ page and choose your plan. Payment is via Stripe, monthly or annual.
Go to Settings > Subscription to manage your plan. Cancel anytime — features remain until end of billing period.
We offer refunds within 7 days if you haven't used premium features. Contact contact@songfork.com.
Safety & Guidelines
We prohibit harassment, hate speech, spam, copyright infringement, and illegal content.
Click the three-dot menu on any post, comment, or profile and select "Report."
Our team reviews every report. Actions may include removal, warnings, suspensions, or bans.
Only upload music you own or have rights to share. Copyrighted material violates our Terms.
