Songfork respects the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on our platform infringes your copyright, follow the procedures outlined below to submit a report.
How to Report Infringement
If you believe that content on Songfork infringes your copyright or the copyright of someone you are authorized to represent, you can submit a report to our Trust & Safety team. All reports must include:
- Your full legal name and contact information.
- Identification of the copyrighted work(s) you claim have been infringed.
- The URL(s) of the infringing content on Songfork.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is unauthorized.
- A statement made under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
What Happens After You Report
Once we receive a valid infringement report, our Trust & Safety team will review it and take appropriate action, which may include removing or disabling access to the reported content. We will notify the uploader of the content about the report.
Counter-Notification
If your content has been removed due to a copyright report and you believe it was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification. The counter-notification must include your contact information, identification of the removed content, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the content was removed by mistake.
Repeat Infringers
Songfork maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat infringers of copyright. If your account receives multiple valid copyright complaints, it may be permanently terminated.
Fair Use & Exceptions
Certain uses of copyrighted material may fall under fair use or other statutory exceptions. If you intend to rely on any such exception, please seek legal advice first. Songfork cannot provide legal guidance on whether a particular use qualifies as fair use.
